Author and Atlantic Horse and Pony contributor Garry Leeson’s hilarious and entertaining autobiographical account of going back-to-the-land. In 1972, an eager young couple with a menagerie of farm animals rode a boxcar from Toronto to Kingston, Nova Scotia, bound for a deserted hundred-acre farm on the South Mountain. Armed with an irrepressible sense of humour, they were determined to preserve the foundations of farmsteads past while constructing a geodesic dome. For 40 years, through flood and fire, triumph and catastrophe, they persevered.
